Axe throwing as a pastime and a competitive sport has really bloomed and shined over the past years with its upswing year in early 2018. Anyone can pick up this throwing skill, but it takes some time to become a skilled thrower like some of our staff. Axe throwing as a recreational activity has really grown and is perfect for families, friends etc. to spend some time together and have an unforgettable experience. Our company is the only one of its kind in the RVA, offering experiences for anyone who wants to take their first steps into the world of axe throwing.

The Virigina Axe Company was the first to plant its axe in the RVA since we opened our range door back in spring of 2019. Since then, we have been the top range providing a unique experience that no other range can match. We are proud to offer the opportunity to throw not only axes, but a variety of other weapons including knives, spears, throwing cards, ninja stars, shovels, and more. We are located only 10 minutes away from the Short Pump mall with its surrounding stores and eateries, making us great for dates or family celebrations of any kind. Before we opened our doors to the public, our founders had a solid and rich history in national competitive throwing. Today, our talented staff provide a quality experience with their cultivated background in the industry and its coaching culture. We are very proud and excited to share this expertise and passion with the whole of RVA!

Our indoor range spans 3000 sq ft, encompassing 6 pairs of targets and a single lane, 11 in all. With our available space we can accommodate dates of just two all the way up to huge company teams of 75 people! The space is also temperature-controlled year-round to offer cool summers and warm winters.
